“we shoot tomorrow. the wonderful brett simon is directing an idea i had (although he has made it infinitely better and his own) and noemie lafrance is choreographing. she choreographed (amongst other things) the Feist videos 1234 and My Moon My Man. we did the dance rehearsals today (yes i’m dancing in it! be afraid, be very afraid!!!) and her routines with the proper dancers are stunning. me not so much but part of the idea is that i’m not supposed to be good at it so we’re half way there because i do nought but stink up the place.
i also have to act a bit so gawd help us all…. anyway, if you don’t try new things you fade away and die….
love and peter gabriel’s sledgehammer to all!!xx”—i can hover: the video for COITD
instead of reblogging all the hot/sexy girls in their bikini with their very skinny bodies, take the time to reblog this, this is a beautiful as most would say over weight girl who is not afraid to wear a bikini and looks great in it, most people wont reblog because it wont fit in with their blog, reblog if you believe people should not be judged on their weight and what they wear, let alone what they look like.
No need to say more. But I will. A preponderance of women look more like this girl than the famous models and famous actresses in Holloywood. Why is it that it is us, women, who criticize this body more than anybody else? Sounds to me like self-hatred, if you ask me.
It is about time, women embrace themselves—and others—as they are, regardless of their weight.
i cannot wait to see this. a friend of mine saw it and said it blew her mind. so excited. am gonna post on the SP.com forum soon about the run up to the single release, tour and album status. much love. the shot at the end of this trailer with her on the rocks and earth 2 in front of her. wow, just wow!gL
(PS, 76 people have ticked ‘dislike’ to this trailer! what the what?! have they no heart beating in their chests? how can you not be left breathless and intrigued by this? the mind boggles!)
Everything about this trailer I liked. The movie looks very interesting—have a feeling what this might be about, more than just physics, maybe more like second chances?
Love the music on the trailer too. As always, Gary, impecable taste you do have.
'To stand at the edge of the sea, to sense the ebb and flow of the tides, to feel the breath of a mist moving over a great salt marsh, to watch the flight of shore birds that have swept up and down the surf lines of the continents for untold thousands of year, to see the running of the old eels and the young shad to the sea, is to have knowledge of things that are as nearly eternal as any earthly life can be.'
Sadly, I think “dumb” is putting it nicely. Sometimes I feel guilty about having such low opinions of people like her and Sarah Palin. You know, “woman solidarity” and all that, BUT, then I remember it’s not…
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool To weep is to risk appearing sentimental To reach out for another is to risk involvement To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self To play your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk their loss To love is to risk not being loved in return To live is to risk dying To hope is to risk despair To try is to risk failure But risk must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing and is nothing He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave He has forfeited freedom Only a person who risks is free
Still busy gathering inspiration for my apartment make-over…and painting every single painting/portrait frame around…don’t want to spend too much money so I am re-using a lot of stuff, hence the painting. But, anyway, found this while reading one of the many interior design/decoration blogs I’ve been reading—this thing is addictive, darned—and found it too good to pass up.
